Hello, Friend. Hello, Matt.

I don’t have a name and I don’t think I will ever need one since I’m only going to exist inside your mind. Nobody can see me and talk to me, except you, Matt.

I’m here for a reason and we both know why. You needed me to come protect you from something bad and here I am. Trying very hard to be your protector. Your comfort. Your friend.

I know recently life hasn’t been treating you very well and I’m very sorry it worked out this way. Although I’ve only come out to the scene for a day, I can sense it right away the world you’re living in is so dark no lights can get through.

People will eventually get tired of your shits, but I will never leave you. They will try to get rid of me. They will tell you not to listen to me, but hear me out, Matt I will always be by your side at your worst day come what may. Even at time where you don’t want to be alive. I will be there.

Your pain will become mine, too. We’ll share it. I will take the punches life throw at you. For whatever misery you’re in, I will try and ease it all. Maybe not all, but I will help lighten it. That’s what friends are for, remember?

I know you don’t like being told things will get better because they will never be. But they will be. I promise you. And if they don’t, you have me.

Your friend,

Friend.
